This post was brought to you by Maverick Meerkat

Maverick Meerkat, of course, is the alternate name for Ubuntu 10.10, which came out Sunday (10/10/10, heh).

I pressed the big button tonight and upgraded, and it seems to have gone successfully. It's late, though, so a more complete report will have to wait until another time.

The one thing worth noting, though, is that I once again made the same mistake I've made before, which was to forget that I had to find that screen buried inside of "Software Sources" where it says to only show the Long Term Update releases, and to set it to show Normal Releases, otherwise it didn't show any upgrade available.

Once I did that, things seemed to go fine, though it took 3+ hours...
